Cape Fear region politicos endorse Fetzer for GOP chair

Former Raleigh Mayor Tom Fetzer announced today that former U.S. Sen. Lauch Faircloth of Sampson County has endorsed him to be the next chairman of the N.C. Republican Party.

Fetzer and three other candidates — Chad Adams, Marcus Kindley and Bill Randall — have been campaigning for months to replace outgoing chairwoman Linda Daves.

Fetzer previously was endorsed by State Rep. David Lewis of Harnett County.

The candidates are scheduled to appear at a candidate forum at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Country Club in Fayetteville.Andrew has details here.
