Juicer - RPM Speed

There is a lot of hype going on about juicers currently. Everyone is jumping on the health bandwagon and talking about the benefits of drinking juice, especially on an empty stomach. My neighbour, for example, makes her family drink the strangest concoctions ever. When choosing a juicer, health nuts should always look out for the RPM speed.  The best juicers have low speeds. This is because when the juice heats up due to the machine spinning quickly, oxidation happens at a higher rate. A lower speed means that the motor is spinning slowly enough to prevent the juice from heating up. This will also mean a slower juicing process though.

A Secret Belgain Waffle Recipe.

On our honeymoon my husband and I ate at a very cute diner. We ate the most delicious Belgian waffles. I could not help but ask the waitress for the belgian waffle recipe. She said that it is a secret and the chef will not share it with anyone. I was a bit surprised but I understood. I don’t think I would share it either because it was unlike any other waffle I had ever had. My husband and I asked to meet the chef and he was very nice. He told us that the recipe has been in his family for years. My husband and I will never forget that meal.

MOST CONSUMED FOOD

Coffee is one of the most consumed foods at home probably next to chocolates and mom’s special apple pies and oatmeal cookies. Our coffee maker never runs out of coffee driP available for everybody. My mom makes sure and sees to it that we have enough brewed coffee sitting in the coffee maker so that there’s always available when we want to drink anytime of the day. Our mom already told us to control our coffee drinking because it’s not healthy to be consuming so much of it. But when everybody in the family is coffee drinkers, it’s hard to resist.

The smell was just as good as the pizza

I love the smell of good food, it’s comforting and brings back amazing memories..just think of the holidays! On Christmas it’s cookies baking, Thanksgiving, the Turkey of course and St Patty’s day the infamous smell of Corn Beef and Cabbage. It reminds me of my grandmothers kitchen and that is always how we bonded..in her kitchen over wonderful food and wonderful smells. A friend asked me the other day what my absolute favorite smell was and I’d have to say other then the smell of freshly baked bread which is hard to beat…it would have to be wood fired pizza. The best pizza is the wood fired, and it has the most amazing smell…the smell itself can melt in your mouth.

Simple Banana Nut Bread Recipe.

One of my most favorite foods is banana nut bread. I have never tried to make it myself until my friend surprised me with a recipe. She told me to stop paying the high price at the bakery and make it at home. I told her that she had a very good idea. I was very happy that she found me a good recipe. I cannot wait to give the banana nut bread recipe a try and taste it. I hope it that the taste is comparable to the one at my local bakery. It is something that I know I would eat everyday if I could.

Goodness, what would we do without the internet

My sister suggested the idea of buying wine as a gift for some friends I was about to have a little holiday break with. Apparently, there is a very good wine cellar in Taupo located on the main highway that runs along the lakefront, and I would be passing through there on my journey from Orewa down to my friend’s farm that is out the back of king country. After mentally preparing and intending to stop to pick up a case, I managed to get distracted and completely forgot about the whole wine venture, and it was too late to turn around. Before I arrived at the farm, my sister called me and I told her what happened, she kindly offered to jump onto the net and purchase wine online for me, having it delivered the next day. What would I do without the internet!

Chinese cooking method - stir frying

Stir frying is one of the most common cooking methods. The actual cooking is actually very fast because you can simply throw everything in the wok and start cooking. However, you need to prepare the ingredients in advance.

Many Chinese food recipes involve using vegetables and meat. Seafood is also commonly used here. They are sliced into equal sizes, so that they can cook evenly. You can also be creative in the way you cut up your vegetables. Things like carrots and spring onions can look really good if you cut them at certain angles. You can also cut designs such as flowers or animals into these vegetables. Visit the link for more recipes!

Parts For Vintage Drinking Fountains.

I have a few things that I need spare parts for and I am having a really hard time finding them. I have always been a really avid collector of school memorabilia, and I have a few drinking fountains that I need to have repaired. I bought them from the school that I attended when I was ten years old, so I have actually drank from these exact ones. They are not keeping the water cool, so that is what I need to get fixed. I have called several school supply offices, and they have no clue where to get the parts I need. So sad!
